Dublin Does Fridays – Update
Dear Member,
We are very encouraged by the level of engagement from the trade for the first DublinDoesFridays. Some points for you to consider:
1. Ensure your profile on the DublinDoesFridays website is fully complete. Almost 500 pubs have signed up on the website but only one-quarter of those have provided full details. The customer expects to see a complete profile of your pub – so please complete it.
2. Make DublinDoesFridays.ie your home page on your computer / laptop. This increases the number of hits and drives our site to the top of Google search.
3. Do not use any supplier company names or drinks brands with the “Dublin Does Fridays like-----“ line. This initiative must stay focussed on the customer and the pub.
4. Only upload content relating to Fridays on the website / Facebook. Dublin Does Fridays is solely focused on Fridays. We will not accept material on your activities for other days of the week. Such “non-Friday” content will be removed.
5. Consider having an incentive for customers to “check-in” to your pub. This drives your buzz map on the website / app.
6. A review of our Facebook page shows huge emphasis by the trade on price promotions. This misses the point. The key is to engage the customer with your pub, your activities and “what’s going on” in the place. Drive conversation about your pub.
7. You can also reward your customers with complimentary finger food.
8. Put up DublinDoesFridays point-of-sale and signage in your pub this Friday and every Friday.
9. The iphone app will be live on the website today (9th February). Apologies for the delay. The Android app has been available since last week.
